Communications Specialist

 The Communications Specialist will play an instrumental role in creating an exceptional employee experience while building and cultivating ACES culture. This role will partner with the Director of People Experience to inform, engage, and inspire employees as they advance our mission to serve clients impacted by autism across the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create internal communication materials including internal marketing materials, promotion announcements, process updates, etc
  • Leading project workflows by tracking and meeting all deliverable deadlines, overall project support and coordination for all team members
  • Manage editorial process and ensure effective messaging and distribution channels for targeted audience
  • Produce written materials, focusing on formatting, brand consistency, proofreading, graphic appeal, and editing/reviewing to ensure quality
  • Manage content strategy for recruitment marketing and employment brand through Glassdoor, Indeed and LinkedIn
  • Optimize internal/external digital channels, including build and maintain HR communications resources (Teams Channels, Comms Library, etc.)
  • Social Media: Oversee regional and company culture Instagram accounts
  • Train and support team members posting on regional accounts, including: 
  • Organizing and disseminating content for global campaigns
  • Creating fresh and new content to disseminate to teams
  • Tracking data for each post or campaign
  • Monitoring all accounts daily
  • Developing seasonal content (i.e. Black History Month, Women's History Month)
  • Support production of company events and meetings, including the flawless execution of logistics, content generation, and creation of post-event cascades.
  • Plan engagement activities for all internal events including, but not limited to, anniversaries, grief, onboarding, autism acceptance month, admin appreciation, department appreciation campaigns, etc.
  • Develop culture content for onboarding swag, plaques, swag, grieving and appreciation cards


Experience/Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in communications, public relations, event management, journalism or related field required
  • 1-2 years of experience in digital channel management
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience or knowledge of social media and web content development is preferred
  • Experience providing collaborative support for strategic internal communications initiatives.
  • Strong and persuasive verbal and written skills, including content creation (concise, impactful, compelling content).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, planning, and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines.
  • Independent and proactive thinker adept at setting goals, prioritizing, and making decisions.
  • Ability to incorporate effective graphic standards into communications and maintain corporate brand guidelines.
  • Experience working with Office 365 applications, and various web-based collaboration tools including Zoom, Teams preferred.
