Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Office of Human Resources and Safety (OHR&S) is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Human Resource professional to fill the position of Human Resource Consultant 2. This is a non-permanent opportunity, expected to last 6-9 months.
Working independently and as a member of a professional and fast paced team, you will function as a lead consultant, providing day-to-day guidance to the HR Operations team providing personnel, position, and benefit processing in HR Information Systems and consultation with agency wide impact. You will also plan, organize, and carry out assignments; oversee and assign the work of HR Operations team members, ensuring effective and efficient customer service. Employee is expected to maintain a positive, growth-oriented learning environment assisting the HR Operations team.
Additionally, the HRC 2 functions as a generalist consultant responsible for ensuring employment and benefits actions are processed timely and accurately for all WSDOT employees. This position also serves as a consultant assigned regions providing research and guidance on issues requiring a range of possible solutions, and ensuring compliance with rules, laws, collective bargaining agreements and agency policy.
