Nursery Program Manager Central Office

Annual Salary: $53,822.40

What you'll do:
Facilitate a team of department personnel to develop a comprehensive plan of action for the establishment of Correctional Center Nursery Program.
Establish necessary partnerships for the health care of babies in the program, to include but not limited to, establishing a contracted physician for on-site visits, enrollment for health insurance and enrollment in any public benefits that may be provided to the mother on behalf of the babies care.
Manage purchases and expenditures made on behalf of the program.
Oversee all nursery unit operations, to include, supervision and training of assigned personnel. Evaluate performance of unit operations and assigned personnel.
Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, normal business hours. This position will initially be dual domiciled at Central Office in Jefferson City, Mo and Women's Eastern Reception Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia, Mo. During the planning phase of the program, the position will report to Jefferson City, Mo. Once implemented, the position will be based out of Vandalia, Mo. The position will be expected to attend functions outside of normal business hours, if necessary. After implementation, this position will be expected to be available by phone after hours in the event an issue arises in the nursery unit.
Initially this position will not directly supervise anyone. Once the program is established, the position will supervise two or more Nursery Program Coordinators. The position will also be responsible for supervising offenders participating in the program, volunteers and community partners associated with the program.
All you need for success:
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, AND four or more years of experience in social services, public health, early childhood development, corrections, or a closely related are
(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience)
