This position involves facilitation of the Cannabis Policy Oversight Team (CPOT) in making policy recommendations to Portland City Council, commissioners, and bureau leadership through evaluation of data, research, best practices, input from program staff, public advisory bodies, community members, identity- and cultural-based organizations, and direction from Portland City Council, with an explicit focus on achieving more equitable outcomes in Portland’s cannabis industry and to individuals and communities most impacted by cannabis prohibition.

This position will be required to complete detailed, comprehensive, evidence and researched based reports and presentations to City Council, State partners, and other state, city, county, municipal jurisdictions, and internal and external stakeholders to improve collaboration, communication, and policy-informed decisions regarding current and future cannabis policies and best practices.
