Position Description: Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking Systems Integration & Test Engineers. Candidates will have a software and networking focus to join our team in supporting emerging technologies in the electro-optical realm of Space Domain Awareness (SDA). The software engineer will work across multiple programs setting up consistent Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines that ensures the delivery of high-quality products to our customer.
The qualified Software Engineer will provide and gain direct experience with cutting edge optical hardware and software subsystems along with crucial integration. This position also involves close interaction with Space Force customers and System Architects to upgrade and maintain our Nation's preeminent ground based optical sensors. We are mission focused, agile, and take innovation seriously.
Requires working closely with cross-functional teams in the development of new solutions. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills a must.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Eligible to achieve and maintain a security clearance
- 1-3 years of experience in Software Engineering with a software and networking background
- Experience in the Software Engineering lifecycle
- Experience with software and network development
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams
- Familiarity with Agile development process
Development processes: DevOps, Continuous Integration/Build/Deployment, Agile, Scrum/Kanban, SAFe, peer reviews, correction of deficiencies
Languages: Java, C/C++/CUDA C, Ada, Fortran, Groovy, Bash Scripting, Java script, Python in a RedHat Linux or similar environment
- Configuration Management using GIT, SVN or similar tools
- Design experience using UML/SysML modeling
UX/UI Frameworks: Angular, Kendo
Application frameworks: Spring and Spring Boot Build tools: Make, Gradle Database experience: SQLite, PostgreSQL, or similar
Certifications:
- Security +
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience in a related field
- DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification (Security+)
- Artifact Repository Management using Nexus or similar
- Cyber compliance using Fortify Workbench, SonarQube or similar tools
- Command and Control Systems; Sensor Processing Systems, Optical Systems / Telescope systems a plus
- Build tool experience using tools such as Gradle, Ant and Jenkins
- Logging analysis tools such as Splunk
- Must be able to handle multiple processes while testing cases and develop plan "fixes"
- Able to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Experience with defect management tools like JIRA, ClearQuest
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.

Travel Requirements:
- 15-20% travel
- Ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS to sites as necessary

BESL complies with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $70000 - $95,000 (+ DOE).
